Advertisement for the Post of Research Assistant (RA) at the Symbiosis Centre for Medical Image Analysis (SCMIA), Lavale, Pune.

Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant (RA) (02 Nos.). We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work in the research domain of Artificial Intelligence (Deep and Machine learning) for medical image analysis. The position is purely temporary, with an initial appointment for one year. It may be extended by more than one year solely based on performance. Further, the candidates will get all the research experience to prepare for their higher education.

Responsibilities::

• Provide advanced modeling and medical image analytics support to projects in SCMIA
• Lead the development, testing, and implementation of Deep/Machine learning models.
• Stay abreast of research trends and developments in Artificial Intelligence /Machine Learning for medical imaging and work with other project teams and students to pilot new projects.
• Develop and maintain test scripts and other documentation and train the new recruits and students.
• Write scientific journal publications and acquire advanced training for new tools.

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must be holders of M. Tech/ M.S./M.E./ M.Sc. or equivalent in CSE (Computer Science and Engineering)/ IT (Information Technology)/ EC (Electronics and Communication)/ Mathematics/ Statistical degrees. OR candidates must have B.E./ B. Tech /B.Sc. in relevant disciplines with 1st class. Candidates with GATE/NET or UGC/CSIR/ICMR DBT/RGNF/MANF/DST fellows are preferred.

Experience:

Applicants with hands-on experience in some or all of the following technical areas will be preferred: 1. Data analytics/modelling with medical imaging domain expertise. 2. Data science/ ML and AI experience, including Scikit Learn, Tensor flow and Pytorch libraries. 3. Deployment of Python codes for real-time execution. 4. Development of connectivity interfaces with data sources. 5. Technical knowledge of medical image analysis and synthesis operations.

Salary/Emoluments:

As per the SIU norms of Research Assistant position.
