1. Post Doctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) position at Symbiosis International University

The Symbiosis Center for Medical Image Analysis (SCMIA) at the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow position to work with our team on several advanced computational neuroimaging (MRI) problems.

The center is one of a kind in India and is located between the engineering institute and the Symbiosis University hospital and Research Center, with access to MRI, CT and other facilities. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and must be able to solve clinical image analysis problems that may entail functional neuroimaging (fMRI), MEG/EEG signal analysis, diffusion MRI, radiomics or radiogenomics and/or applied AI for analysis. The responsibilities include hands on coding (preferably python), writing impactful research papers, guiding bachelors and masters students and interacting with radiologists, oncologists, neurologists, bio-statisticians and other clinicians.

Qualification: Ph.D. with First class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree and a good academic record throughout. Candidates should have a background in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math or MR Physics. Applicants about to submit their thesis or graduate with a PhD soon may also apply.
At least two research papers with a respectable impact in the concerned research area and publication in journals indexed in SCI/SSCI/AHCI/ESCI/WoS/Scopus.

Salary terms: INR 624000 with 50000 contingency (per year).

Terms of Service: The appointees will be called as Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) and the initial award will be for ONE Year which can be extended for maximum of Two years. The extension after each year will be after thorough review of the candidate’s performance.

2. Research Faculty Positions in the Computational Image Analysis (Assistant/ Associate Professor Level)

Two Faculty Positions in computational biomedical image analysis are available at the Symbiosis Center for Medical Image Analysis (SCMIA), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India. The center is one of a kind in India and is located between the engineering institute and the Symbiosis University hospital and Research Center, with access to MRI, CT and other facilities.

SCMIA aspires to be a center of excellence in image analysis and is therefore searching for faculty (National and International) who have a proven record in the area of medical image analysis. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and must be able to solve clinical image analysis problems that may entail functional neuroimaging (fMRI), MEG/EEG signal analysis, breast/cardiac/abdomen/spine imaging and analysis. The responsibilities include writing technical proposals, guiding Masters and PhD students, creating collaborations and writing impactful research papers. The position requires the candidate to work in a multidisciplinary environment involving radiologists, bio-statisticians and other clinicians.

Qualification: Ph.D. with First class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree and a good academic record throughout. Candidates should have a background in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math or MR Physics.

Experience: A minimum of eight years teaching/research/professional experience, excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D for Associate Positions. For Assitant Prof. Position, post-doc of atleast two years after PhD is preferred. Candidate should have demonstrated research capabilities in terms of publications in reputed journals and conferences. Eligible candidates with less than the requisite experience may also be considered if they have a proven publication record.
