Greetings from Symbiosis Center for Medical Image Analysis!!

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals with good communication skills to join our research team as Research Interns.

The research makes extensive use of Deep Learning and Machine Learning techniques. Sound knowledge and understanding of computer vision, deep learning, and machine learning is required, as well as proficiency in python programming.

SCMIA has achieved laurels in terms of research with several funded projects ( https://scmia.edu.in/grants ), research publications in high-quality journals ( https://scmia.edu.in/journals ) and national and international collaborations ( https://scmia.edu.in/grants )

Interested students from CS, IT, Robotics and E&TC department for using AI as a tool can apply for

  1. Part-time Internship
  2. 6-month Internship
  3. Final Year Project
  4. Research Assistant on completion of B. Tech degree

FAQS

This is an internship opportunity offered to the students studying in 3rd or final year students only. Final year students may apply for 6-month internship or B. Tech project.
There is no fixed commencement date as such. Interviews will be conducted, and the selected students will be notified accordingly.
The duration of an internships is between a minimum of six (6) months and up to a maximum of 1 year.
This is a voluntary internship and students have to manage both in case they choose to pursue this.
There is no fixed timing as such. Student will report to their mentor from the center.
Yes, certificates are issued to individual interns upon request. In addition, each intern may ask their supervisor to write a letter of recommendation at the end of their internship.
The relationship for an internship is directly between SCMIA and the intern candidate only. All agreements are issued by SCMIA only, as a legal document of the Organization. SCMIA does not agree to sign any agreements proposed or required by a sponsor, university or equivalent institution. The only document that SCMIA signs is the SCMIA Internship Offer Letter which must be countersigned directly by the intern candidate as a condition to start any internship.
Interns may not be eligible to receive financial support from SCMIA.
If shortlisted for the internship, the technical unit will contact you to conduct an interview. During the discussion, we recommend you ask as many questions and seek clarification as necessary so that you are fully aware of what would be required from you during the assignment. It is also important for you to understand what the learning experience would provide to you and encourage you to ask questions related to the learning objectives indicated within the position description.
Please note that only successful candidates will be contacted. However, the response time will vary. Should you not hear back within four weeks after the internship vacancy closed, you can assume that you were not shortlisted.
