Dr. Venkateswarlu Gonuguntla, Assistant Professor

Dr. Venkateswarlu Gonuguntla is a research faculty – Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Centre for Medical Image Analysis (SCMIA) in Symbiosis International University (SIU), Lavele, Pune, India. Prior to joining SCMIA, he held post-doctoral and senior researcher positions at Samsung Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea, where he was also affiliated with Sungkyunkwan University Medical Science Research Institute.

He graduated from SASTRA University in India with a B.Tech in electronics and communication engineering. He received both his Master of Science in electrical and computer science engineering and his Ph.D. in electronics engineering from Kyungpook National University in South Korea. He also worked as a post-doctoral researcher and scholar at Kyungpook National University for more than a year.

He is now researching a. medical imaging analysis and signal processing utilizing graph neural networks; and b. EEG based Brain Mapping and EEG Network Biomarker Technologies. His current research focuses on application of deep learning to the processing and analysis of medical images, bio-signal processing and analysis, brain networks, graph theory, and neural decoding.

Dr. Maninder Singh, Assistant Professor

Dr. Singh is a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in Medical Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Antenna Design. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Symbiosis Centre for Medical Image Analysis, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India. With over three years of experience in research and teaching, Dr. Singh has established himself as a leading expert in biomedical imaging and AI-driven healthcare technologies.

Dr. Singh completed his Ph.D. at the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, India. His doctoral research focused on the development of computer-assisted detection systems for ocular biomarkers in trauma care, with an emphasis on real-time monitoring of intracranial pressure using AI-based analytical techniques. Prior to his Ph.D., he earned his M.Tech in Digital Communication from Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jhansi, and his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from G.L.A. Mathura.

Dr. Singh's research has been widely published in reputed journals and international conferences, highlighting his expertise in biomedical imaging, deep learning, and IoT applications. His research has been instrumental in advancing the integration of AI and IoT in medical diagnostics and monitoring systems. Notably, he holds a granted patent for an IoT-enabled system designed to predict elevated intracranial pressure, highlighting his innovative contributions to medical technology.

His technical proficiency encompasses programming languages such as MATLAB and Python, machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow and Keras, and hardware platforms like Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson.

Dr. Singh is deeply committed to interdisciplinary research, with a focus on leveraging state-of-the-art advancements in AI and IoT to develop transformative healthcare solutions. His work aligns with emerging trends in telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, and edge computing, contributing to the development of intelligent systems for improved patient care and diagnostic accuracy. Through his research, Dr. Singh continues to bridge the gap between engineering and medical sciences, addressing critical challenges in modern healthcare.
