Dr. Himadri is a nanotechnology researcher with expertise in designing and engineering nanomaterials for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. She graduated with a Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Technology from the University of Hyderabad. Her work focuses on designing, functionalizing, and bioconjugated nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery, immune modulation, and enhanced diagnostic imaging including Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (CT).
Her diverse research experience includes work at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, Hyderabad, developing nanovaccine platforms, and at Boston Children’s Hospital, USA, where she contributed to cancer diagnostics using hyperplexed imaging platforms with chiral gold nanoparticles. Dr. Himadri excels in bridging materials science and biomedical applications, from designing porous nanomaterials to conducting preclinical animal model studies to drive multidisciplinary innovation. She is also a member of the American Society for Microbiology.
Currently, Dr. Himadri is advancing nanomaterial-based contrast agents for MRI imaging focusing on innovative, translational approaches to enhance healthcare solutions.
